Project Title:

Point Loma 4

San Diego, CA

Terry Smith, CKD, CBD, CID

This beautiful kitchen contains large windows that open out into the deck area while overlooking into the gorgeous views surrounding Shelter Island. The perimeter of the kitchen is made of eucalyptus and the island is composed of a teak veneer. Custom-made cabinets wrap around the curved wall and the organic shape of the island countertop plays off of the curved wall. The island also has a mixer shelf lift. Additional and easy access to storage is achieved through multiple garage appliances, drawer banks, and spice pullouts. Frosted glass on the upper cabinets provides a light and airy look for the kitchen. Colors from the window views provided the inspiration for the blue glass tiles and tile layout. The kitchen now provides a space for multiple cooks while providing space to entertain family and friends.
