City Front Terrace 15
The client’s existing kitchen consisted of white cabinetry and a mirrored backsplash. During our first meeting, the client asked for an updated kitchen that functioned well but, just as importantly, worked with the style of the rest of their home. From their travels, the clients had collected numerous art pieces that are now displayed throughout their home. One piece, located next to the kitchen, includes a large framed mirror that inspired the warm and beautiful kitchen remodel for the clients.
The existing white cabinetry was replaced with walnut cabinetry with a shaker door style. Several appliances were retained, including the refrigerator, range, and microwave hood. The existing stainless steel dishwasher was replaced with one featuring a custom door panel that matches the cabinetry. A stainless steel sink and faucet create a more updated look and match the stainless steel appliances.
The kitchen is accessorized with two blind corner pull-outs to make use of all available space and to provide easy access to belongings. To increase storage space in the upper cabinets as well as to create a higher ceiling, and, thus, more volume in the kitchen, the height of the soffit was decreased. Cross-reed glass inserts are used to help break up the upper cabinets and to provide a more spacious look. Oil-rubbed bronze pulls are used to enhance the warmth of the kitchen and to coordinate with the warmth of the rest of the home.
These clients now feel that their home is integrated and complete.
