This fun kitchen is located in the beautiful city of Del Mar and features the use of a Eucalyptus and Walnut veneer. A wall of tall pantries provides easy access to all storage areas and eliminates the use of any upper cabinets. Drawer banks along the same wall stores utensils and other cutlery items. A Dacor 36” cooktop was specified alongside a beautiful curved 36” hood by Best. Without the use of uppers, a full wall of backsplash helped bring the eyes to the focal point of the cooktop area. Other Dacor appliances featured in this kitchen includes the oven, microwave and refrigerator system. The earthy colored granite countertop ties the finishes together to create a warm and earthy feel.
One of the many main features of the kitchen is the multi-leveled and multi-functional island. A round wooden countertop made of ash and walnut provides a seating and gathering area when the clients are entertaining their guests in the open kitchen. The other end of the island contains an open bookshelf for recipe books that the client can easily reach and leave open on the island as they are cooking. A prep sink and pull out trash is also located on island, making it easier for multiple cooks to be in there at the same time.
